All programs are individualised according to the child needs and level. for example, a child that has challenges with speech will have different programs and areas to address for a child that needs support in behaviour management or regulation. Our main objective here is always to be able to teach a child with sufficient skills, to be able to mainstream back into school and the community.
Parents will step in as the “therapist” for their children and will be trained using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behavior modification techniques
Below are certain programs that will be discussed on a 1: 1 basis with parents/teachers/therapist and included in most of the training sessions as children can be different given different scenarios :- Imitation, Requests, Play/leisure skills, Group instruction, Academic skills, Gross and fine motor skills, Turn Taking, Non-Verbal / Verbal imitation, Role Play, Video Modeling.
ONE TO ONE THERAPY APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS (ABA) / SOCIAL THINKING SKILLS
The child visits the clinic to receive 1:1 behavior therapy using principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Social Thinking and other behavior modification which ever works best for the child.
SCHOOL OBSERVATION/ SHADOW AIDE/ PERSONAL LEARNING ASSISTANT (PLA)
Visitation to school is important in developing a program that works for a child to overcome the shortcomings. Intervention plans are designed based on naturalistic observation.
